About the collection

Pear Cut Lab Grown Diamond Rings & Jewellery

The pear is a teardrop: a rounded end for brilliance and a point for drama. Worn point-out it lengthens the finger; as a drop earring or pendant it sits exactly as the shape intends. A good pear has even shoulders and no dark "bow-tie" across the middle — a flaw no certificate records, which is why our gemmologists select every pear laboratory-grown diamond by eye before it is set.

This collection holds pear solitaire rings, halo and pavé settings, toi-et-moi pieces, pear ear studs, drop earrings and pendants from 0.50 to 4 carats, each IGI certified and made to order in BIS-hallmarked 9K, 14K or 18K gold at our South Delhi atelier. Compare pear with oval and marquise in the diamond shapes guide, or on your hand at the boutique in C.R. Park.

A teardrop shape that combines a round brilliant and a marquise. It looks larger than its carat weight and elongates the finger, and it works in rings, pendants and drop earrings.

With a prong over the point, which is the most fragile part of the stone. All Diamos pear rings are set this way, and we check symmetry so the point sits centred on the finger.

Some do, like ovals and marquises. We reject pears with a dark bow-tie, which does not appear on the certificate, and select stones with even light return.

Traditionally point towards the fingertip, but either way is correct; many clients in Delhi now wear the point towards the hand. Try both at the showroom.
